Creating accounting rules

Define a new accounting rule to automatically generate journal entries for specific transaction types.

Prerequisites

Log in to Symba Microbanking with a user account that is authorized to manage accounting rules.

Steps

  • On the Home page, click on "Accounting"
  • Click "Accounting Rules"
  • Click the "Create Accounting Rule" button
  • Configure the rule:
    • Name: Descriptive name for the rule
    • Office: Select office or leave blank for all offices
    • Transaction type: Select the type of transaction this rule applies to
    • Debit account: General ledger account to debit
    • Credit account: General ledger account to credit
    • Tags (optional): Add tags for filtering
  • Click "Submit"

The accounting rule is now active and will automatically generate journal entries for matching transactions.
