Financial reports

Financial reports provide insights into your organization's financial position, performance, and accounting activities.

Prerequisites

Log in to Symba Microbanking with a user account that is authorized to generate financial reports.

Available financial reports

Common financial reports include:

  • Balance Sheet: Snapshot of assets, liabilities, and equity at a specific date
  • Income Statement: Revenue and expenses over a period
  • Trial Balance: List of all general ledger accounts with debit and credit balances
  • Cash Flow Statement: Cash inflows and outflows during a period
  • General Ledger Report: Detailed transaction history for accounts

Additional financial reports may be available based on your organization's configuration.

Running a financial report

  • On the Home page, click on "Reports"
  • Click on "Financial Reports" or navigate to Accounting > Reports
  • Select the specific report you want to run
  • Configure report parameters:
    • Branch/Office: Select one or more offices
    • Date: Specific date for point-in-time reports
    • Date range: Start and end dates for period reports
    • Account selection: Filter by specific GL accounts if applicable
  • Click "Run Report" to view in browser or "Run and Download Report" to download

Understanding report formats

  • Reports display in a standard format with headers, date ranges, and office information
  • Most financial reports show comparative periods when applicable
  • Detailed reports include drill-down capabilities to view underlying transactions
  • Downloaded reports are typically available in PDF, Excel, or CSV formats
