Loan reports

Loan reports provide detailed analysis of your loan portfolio, including disbursements, repayments, arrears, and portfolio quality metrics.

Prerequisites

Log in to Symba Microbanking with a user account that is authorized to generate loan reports.

Available loan reports

Common loan reports include:

  • Active Loans - Summary: Overview of all active loans with key metrics
  • Active Loans - Details: Detailed listing of active loans with full information
  • Loans Awaiting Disbursal: Approved loans ready for disbursement
  • Loans Pending Approval: Applications awaiting approval
  • Portfolio at Risk (PAR): Loans with overdue payments by aging category
  • Arrears Reports: Detailed aging analysis by days, weeks, or months
  • Expected Payments by Date: Scheduled payments for a date range
  • Obligation Met Loans: Loans that have been fully repaid
  • Written-Off Loans: Loans that have been written off
  • Rescheduled Loans: History of loan rescheduling activities
  • Loans by Disbursal Period: Analysis of loan disbursements by time period

Additional loan reports may be available based on your organization's configuration.

Running a loan report

  • On the Home page, click on "Reports"
  • Click on "Loan Reports"
  • Select the specific report you want to run
  • Configure report parameters:
    • Branch/Office: Select one or more offices
    • Date or date range: Reporting period
    • Loan product: Filter by specific loan products
    • Currency: Select currency for monetary reports
    • Status filters: Active, approved, closed, etc.
    • Aging parameters: For PAR and arrears reports
  • Click "Run Report" to view in browser or "Run and Download Report" to download

Key portfolio metrics

  • Portfolio at Risk (PAR): Percentage of loans with overdue payments
    • PAR 30: Loans overdue by 30+ days
    • PAR 60: Loans overdue by 60+ days
    • PAR 90: Loans overdue by 90+ days
  • Arrears Amount: Total overdue principal and interest
  • Arrears Rate: Percentage of portfolio in arrears
  • Write-off Rate: Percentage of portfolio written off

Using loan reports effectively

  • Portfolio Monitoring: Run PAR and arrears reports regularly to monitor portfolio health
  • Disbursal Planning: Use "Loans Awaiting Disbursal" to plan cash flow
  • Collection Focus: Use aging reports to prioritize collection efforts
  • Trend Analysis: Compare reports over time to identify patterns
  • Loan Officer Performance: Filter by loan officer to assess individual performance
