Before a client can access protected Symba USSD services, an authorized staff member creates a 6-digit security code.

Prerequisites

• The client is active in Symba Microbanking
• Log in to Symba Portal with a user account that is authorized to create client security codes

Steps

• In the navigation menu, click "Payments"
• Click "Client Security Codes"
• Enter the client's numeric Client ID
• Click "Show"
• Click "Create New Code"
• Confirm "Create Security Code"
• Verify that Symba Portal reports that the code was sent by SMS

The client can now dial the organization's Symba USSD service code and authenticate with the new security code.

What to tell the client

• Dial the service code supplied by the organization
• Keep the security code private
• Contact the organization if the code is forgotten or access is locked after unsuccessful attempts
