Activating groups

Once a group has been created, it must be activated before it can apply for group loans.

Prerequisites

  • A group exists with "Pending" status
  • All group members must be active clients
  • Log in to Symba Microbanking with a user account that is authorized to activate groups

Steps

  • Click on the search field in the navigation bar
  • Type part of the group's name or account number (search is case sensitive)
  • In the "Resource" field, select "Groups"
  • Click the search icon
  • Click the view entity icon next to the group
  • Verify that all group member clients are active
  • Click the menu icon in the group header
  • Select "Activate"
  • Select the activation date (defaults to today)
  • Click "Confirm"

The group status changes to "Active" and can now apply for group loans.
