Creating roles

Create a new role to define a specific set of authorizations that can be assigned to users.

Prerequisites

Log in to Symba Portal with a user account that is authorized to manage roles.

Steps

  • In the menu, click "Administration", then "Roles"
  • In the "All roles" section, click "Create"
  • Enter a name and description for the role
  • Click "Create"

The new role is created with no authorizations. Note that the name cannot be changed later.
