Savings account applications must be approved before they can be activated and used.

Prerequisites

• A savings account application exists with "Submitted and pending approval" status
• Log in to Symba Microbanking with a user account that is authorized to approve savings accounts

Steps

• Navigate to the client's profile page
• Click on the "Savings" tab
• Click on the savings account to view its details
• Review the account details
• Click the "Approve" button
• Enter the approval date (defaults to today)
• Optionally add a note
• Click "Submit" to approve the account

The savings account status changes to "Approved".

Rejecting an application

If you need to reject an application:

• Follow the steps above but click the "Reject" button instead
• Enter the rejection date
• Add a rejection reason note
• Click "Submit" to reject the application

The savings account status changes to "Rejected".
