Block a savings account to prevent transactions when necessary for security or compliance reasons. You can block the entire account or restrict only deposits or withdrawals.

Prerequisites

Log in to Symba Microbanking with a user account that has permission to block savings accounts.

Steps

• Open the savings account you want to block
• Click the icon in the account header
• Select "More", then click "Block Account"
• Select the block type:
  • Block - Prevents all transactions (deposits and withdrawals)
  • Block Debit - Prevents withdrawals only (deposits still allowed)
  • Block Credit - Prevents deposits only (withdrawals still allowed)
• Click "Submit"

The account status changes to show the block type. While blocked:

• Block: No deposits or withdrawals can be processed
• Block Debit: Only deposits are allowed, withdrawals are prevented
• Block Credit: Only withdrawals are allowed, deposits are prevented

Existing holds remain in effect. Scheduled transactions are not processed while the relevant operations are blocked.
