Mobile money withdrawals

Mobile money withdrawals allow clients to receive funds directly to their mobile money account through electronic transfer (disbursement).

Withrawal through USSD

When a mobile money withdrawal is initiated through USSD:

  • The withdrawal is automatically deducted from the savings account in Symba Microbanking
  • A withdrawal record is created with 'in progress' status
  • The mobile money provider processes the transfer to the client's mobile money account
  • When the transfer completes, the withdrawal status changes to 'succeeded'
  • IF the transfer fails, the withdrawal is reverted in the savings account in Symba Microbanking, and the withdrawal status changes to 'failed'
