Understanding GSIM Account Hierarchy
GSIM accounts have a parent-child structure:
Parent GSIM Account (e.g., 000000001)
├── Child Account 1 (e.g., 0000000011) - Member A
├── Child Account 2 (e.g., 0000000012) - Member B
├── Child Account 3 (e.g., 0000000013) - Member C
└── Child Account 4 (e.g., 0000000014) - Member D
Key Points:
- Parent Account: Not directly visible to users; exists in the database to link child accounts
- Child Accounts: Individual member savings accounts displayed in the GSIM Accounts table
- Account Numbers: Children inherit parent number with added suffix (parent + member sequence)
- Shared Terms: All children have identical product, interest rate, and terms
- Independent Balances: Each child maintains its own separate balance
Viewing GSIM Account Status
GSIM accounts follow the standard savings account lifecycle:

Finding GSIM Accounts
From Dashboard
- Navigate to "Savings" → "View Savings Accounts"
- Filter by savings product or status
- GSIM child accounts appear in the standard savings list
From Group Page
- Most common method - view all GSIM accounts for a group in one place
- Navigate to "Groups" → Select group → "GSIM Accounts" section
Via Search
- Use the global search bar to find accounts by account number or member name
- GSIM accounts are searchable like any savings account
Checking Group Total Balance
To see the total balance across all GSIM member accounts:
- View the "GSIM Accounts" table on the group page
- Calculate the sum of all member balances in the "Balance" column
- This gives the total group savings under the GSIM structure
Note: The system does not automatically display a group total - you must sum individual member balances.
