Remove a guarantor from a loan account when they are no longer providing security for the loan.

Prerequisites

Log in to Symba Microbanking with a user account that has permission to delete guarantors.

Steps

• Open the loan account from which you want to remove the guarantor
• Open the Guarantors tab
• Click the icon next to the guarantor you want to remove
• Click "Confirm"

The guarantor is removed from the loan account.

Impact on savings account guarantees

If the guarantor was a savings account:

• Any held funds (liens) are automatically released
• The available balance in the savings account increases
• A release transaction appears in the Liens tab of the savings account
• The account holder can now withdraw the previously held amount
